Yesterday's theme was this type of misunderstanding; after leaving Newgrange, we were driving through a roundabout near Dundalk when we saw a handpainted sign (in pink paint, no less) that read “Dublin Queens Dry and Fluffy.” After the turves-turds episode, I wasn’t going to assume anything. Square Eyes, who is a lot more practical than I am, figured that a Dublin Queen is a type of potato, so I accepted that explanation. However, an extensive google search (Dublin queens, potato varieties, Irish potatoes, etc.) turned up nothing. So I'm sticking to my theory - that this summer a super-fun drag-queen festival is being held in Dundalk. And now I'm not convinced about the turds, either.
