Things to love about Toronto in the winter.

1. Sun. It may be twenty below with a windchill that could strip paint but the sun can still be shining gloriously. Seasonal Affective Disorder, get thee hence.

2. Wintersports. Ontario is lots of things, but it ain't known for its mountain ranges. You can still ski though and the city provides an outdoor skating rink downtown at Nathan Phillips Square. Not quite Central Park, but a killer date destination. As long as your date is the non laughing and pointing kind, of course.

3. Being Inside. Watching snow silently falling outside when you're toasty warm with a good book and music playing. Bliss, albeit a melancholic bliss.

4. Bulky Winter Clothing. Okay, so this is both a good and bad thing. All the cute girls may have disappeared under layer upon layer of thermal insulation, but then again so have you. Woohoo! I looks just like everybody else! Just two eyes peeking out atcha. Watch for eyelash freeze though, makes winking risky.
