Just heard from a journalist that various stories are propagating around the Internet that were written by P45ers. Sublime. I wonder how it was done. Would be cool to be able to do it deliberately to garner publicity for the site. Viral marketing at its best if it could be done if it were possible to include the URL of the website. Otherwise quite pointless.
One can only assume that it's the same thing as what happens with our jokes and e-jits guides. Readers see them, read them, enjoy them and forward them on. Much the same way as our content is freq. read out on the radio as their own brand of whacky humour. Eventually they end up on the desk of somebody who doesn't check their facts before publishing them. People are just too lazy.
